WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN VISITING THE COMPANY PORTAL

Now back to what to look out for when visiting the portals of the companies mentioned.

First and foremost, language is a key factor for getting job in the Netherlands. If you see job opportunities that are advertised in the Dutch language, this indicates that it is intended for local market, but for jobs opportunities that are intended for people who are, but for job opportunities that are open, for people who are outside the Netherland and non-Dutch speakers, you would normally see those adverts in English language and also when looking at the job requirements, take note to see if language requirement mentions proficiency. In Dutch. When you see proficiency in Dutch or good communication in Dutch or ability to read and write in Dutch, you already know that it is not for non-Dutch speakers. The second point to look at for is a specific remark about work permit or residents. Some job advertisements will mention clearly that you need to have a valid work permit to work in the Netherland or within the EU.

So when you see such remark or such line in an advertisement, it means clearly that the company wants to hire people from within the EU who have already legal rights to work within the Netherlands. At this company for this specific role is likely not looking to sponsor Visa for someone from outside of the European Union. The third point is to check the salary levels. The immigration service determines the salary levels for highly skilled migrants. For a company to hire a highly skilled migrant, they need to meet certain minimum salary levels. If you are younger than 30 years, your salary must be minimum of 3,672, and if you are older than 30 years, your salary is a minimum of five, 5,008 as of this moment. And there is the reduced criterion for people who are holding a visa. If you just finished your university degree in the Netherlands or you qualify for a visa because you schooled in one of the recognized universities around the globe, then you have the reduced salary criterion of 2,631.

Some organizations will give indication of the salary level based on the salary level you want to see if it falls within these brackets, then you know that, okay, this job falls within the highly skilled migrant bracket you need to. So these are some of the points you need to give attention to when you are searching the websites of these companies. That’s where you focus your energy on the jobs that meet this criterion. So there you have it, 15 companies hiring in the Netherlands that offer visa and relocation assistance. I hope this video has been helpful in your job search.
